Our Story

Xeden is the product of merging ancestral knowledge with ever-evolving identity.

As First Gen Xicana’s, we are familiar with the concept of Nepantla, “ni de aquí, ni de alla ''/ “not from here, not from there”, a familiar experience for many other BIPOC. Nepantla is “the place where different perspectives come into conflict and where you question your basic ideas, tenets, and identities inherited from your family, your education, and your different cultures”1.

This has left the wanting for community acceptance. We believe our inability to fit societal molds should be a means of celebration not alienation. This personal reclamation and ongoing healing cycle becomes a transmutation, a shifting of pain into power.

The commitment to this transformative process is at the heart of every product Xeden offers. Our products, just like our experiences in life are not meant to be only “de aqui”or “de alla” but an amalgamation of these and more.  Xeden’s products are not just potions, but vessels of self-discovery that aid in the empowerment of our path to holistic well-being.

Our goal is to provide intentionally and respectfully created products that are meant to help us feel a sense of ease, whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.  Xeden invites others to join in on the journey to not only find that which has been lost but also embrace new knowledge as they traverse this life.

What Is In A Name?

X*EDEN

The name Xeden is a unique blend of two elements.

The first element, "X" represents the number 10. In numerology, 10 symbolizes completion of cycles, new beginnings, evolution, and balance2,3,4.

The second element, Eden or The Garden of Eden, refers to a metaphorical paradise. It represents the transition from innocence and ignorance to experience and knowledge (pertaining to the complexities of human existence). It expresses how we have at times been exiled because we were not "perfect".

This fusion invites us to reflect on our own journeys, recognizing that even in moments of alienation and fragmentation, the potential for wholeness remains within our grasp.
